From the doctorAdelene Jann, MD is an attending neurologist at Mount Sinai Roosevelt Hospital Center. She is board certified in Neurology and Headache Medicine. Dr. Jann is a member of the American Academy of Neurology and the American Headache Society where she also is part of the New Investigators and Trainees Section and the Education Committee. She serves as a guest contributor to the patient education website, www.achenet.org, and also reviews articles for journals such as Headache and Cephalalgia. Dr. Jann completed her Headache Medicine fellowship at the Headache Institute, and received the Frontiers in Headache Research Scholarship Award by the American Headache Society. She has been awarded the SuperDoctors Rising Stars of New York Award in 2013 and 2014.

Dr. Jann treats a variety of headache disorders including chronic daily headaches, migraine headaches, tension-type headaches, and the trigeminal autonomic cephalalgias such as cluster headaches. She performs nerve blocks, trigger point injections, and Botox administration for chronic headaches. She has pursued advanced training in acupuncture at Harvard Medical School and will offer acupuncture as an alternative treatment for headaches in the summer of 2014.
