Research / AdvancesDr. Altman’s research has focused on improving the outcome of patients with heart failure receiving Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy (CRT) with biventricular pacemakers and ICDs. His research attempts to improve outcome of those patients who received devices who are not responding to therapy as well as to identify patients who might respond to CRT. Dr. Altman also has a strong interest in medical education.
From the doctorDr. Altman received his medical degree from the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in Baltimore, MD. Following this he completed his Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine at the New York Presbyterian Hospital – Columbia University. There he was selected as a Chief Medical Resident where he served an additional year as faculty at Columbia University. Dr. Altman completed his training in Cardiovascular Disease and Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology at the Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard University. Dr Altman joined St. Luke's-Mount Sinai Roosevelt in 2013 as an Attending Electrophysiologist.

Dr. Altman’s clinical interests are in the medical and invasive management of patients with cardiac arrhythmias as well as in catheter ablation of cardiac arrhythmias and implantable cardiac devices.
