From the doctorDr. Molofsky completed his undergraduate education at Cornell University where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree with honors in the field of Neurobiology and Behavior.

He then went on to obtain his medical training at NYU School of Medicine.

Dr. Molofsky then completed a Pediatric residency at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center Babies Hospital and then a Neurology residency at the Neurological Institute at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center. He is Board Certified in Pediatrics and in Neurology with special certification in Child Neurology.

Dr. Molofsky, following completion of his training, went on to establish with his colleagues from Columbia the Pediatric Neurology Service at UMDNJ in New Jersey. There, he helped developed the largest clinical training service in the state of New Jersey where he trained over 15 pediatric neurologists.

In 1996, Dr. Molofsky joined the faculty at the Beth Israel Medical Center, Institute for Neurology and Neurosurgery (INN) where he worked closely with Fred Epstein, M.D., Chief Pediatric Neurosurgery and Alex Berenstein, M.D., Director of the Neurovascular Service at the INN.

Dr. Molofsky currently is the Director of Pediatric Neurology at Mount Sinai Health System and Associate Professor of Pediatric and Neurology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. In its current form, the Pediatric Neurology Division at Mount Sinai and Beth Israel with over 15 pediatric neurologists,2 pediatric neurology nurse practitioners and affiliated staff is one of the largest pediatric neurology services in New York City. The Pediatric Neurology Service is a diverse and dynamic division, which includes experts in the field of epilepsy, movement disorders, neurobehavioral disorders, headache, pediatric stroke, autism, and cerebral palsy and under Dr. Molofsky’s leadership has been ranked as 29th in the country in the recent USNWR rankings.

Dr. Molofsky has particular interest in neurovascular disease, (strokes, AVMs)neurobehavioral disorders of children (developmental delay, Autism ,ADD), seizures, muscle disorders and headaches

Dr. Molofsky maintains an active clinical referral practice and has offices in New York City at Mount Sinai Kravis Children’s Hospital, Mount Sinai Beth Israel Medical Center’s Phillips Ambulatory Care Center at10 Union Square East., West Orange, NJ and at ODA Health Center in Brooklyn, NY.

Dr. Molofsky is considered an expert in the field of neurovascular disease, neurobehavioral disorders, and general pediatric neurology. He has authored numerous papers on headache, neurovascular disease and neurobehavioral disorders in children.

Dr. Molofsky currently is the Chief of Pediatric Neurology at Mount Sinai Beth Israel. Mount Sinai Beth Israel with seven pediatric neurologists, and a pediatric neurology nurse practitioner is one of the largest pediatric neurology services in New York City. The Pediatric Neurology Service at Mount Sinai Beth Israel is a diverse and dynamic division, which includes experts in the field of epilepsy, movement disorders, neurobehavioral disorders, headache, pediatric stroke, autism, and cerebral palsy.
